The United Planters Association of Southern India (UPASI) and China Tea Marketing Association (CTMA) signed the first Memorandum of Understanding for promoting sustainable tea production and consumption in that region during the India international Tea Convention held in September 2016. The aim of the agreement is to incrementally achieve relevant UN-mandated Sustainable Development Goals while building an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future for the tea industry.
