With this Edun Live T-shirt, Jackpot supports organic cotton farmers in the North of Uganda; a region which is recovering from war. The Limited Edition T-shirt by Jackpot also contributes to employment in Africa.
The T-shirt is produced by Sunflag in Tanzania. Sunflag has been supported by Solidaridad to achieve certification for processing organic cotton. Solidaridad also helped Sunflag identify environmental improvement options. Sunflag offers employment to around 2,000 people.
Only few African textile companies reach the European market. Solidaridad would like to change this.
