Cocoa Life Programme: Our Impact Stories

This publication showcases a few of the many anecdotal accounts from participants in the first phase of the Cocoa Life programme, implemented across 122 cocoa-growing communities in the Eastern region of Ghana.

From 2019 to 2023, the Cocoa Life programme supported over 10,000 cocoa farmers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to enhance their yields through the application of good agricultural practices. Additionally, more than 4,000 participants diversified their income through the adoption of alternative livelihood activities.

Over 200 community development projects were successfully completed, which significantly improved access to essential services, including education and healthcare in the communities served.

The personal stories shared in this publication highlight the transformative impact of the Cocoa Life programme on farmers, women, youth, and entire communities, contributing to a more sustainable and prosperous cocoa sector in Ghana.
