Background
Solidaridad is developing a tokenized platform to incentivize communities to interact with our suite of digital tools so we can deliver intelligence to companies, donors, and investors who are committed to the production of sustainable commodities, and will directly support an inclusive data economy for smallholder producers worldwide. It seeks to prove the concept of investment into impact and empowering communities as purveyors of their own data and local impact through the establishment of localized “gig” economies to drive producer agency and access to finance at the bottom of the pyramid for the larger development arena.
Assignment
The present assignment aims to support the organization in scoping market potential, developing key product offerings, and designing a market engagement strategy to enable Solidaridad to refine its proposition, and reach out to investors so they can channel funds and manage field initiatives through the platform in order to promote the sustainable sourcing of commodities originating from South America.
The main objective of the consultancy is to examine the North American market of donors, companies and impact investors to gauge their interest in funnelling investment into sustainability initiatives through a blockchain platform that delivers direct incentives for interaction and behaviour change to beneficiaries in the Global South, and promotes the sustainable sourcing of commodities from South America in ways that maximize impacts at farm level.
